POST 10: A good experience

In the begin I really hated this subject because we had class on Monday and I think that this is the worst day in the weekend. Also we had class in the end of the day so I finished my afternoon very tired.

With the pasing of time I began to like this subjects, because every Monday or wendnesday I could speak with my classmates and put on practice all the things that the teachear showed us.

Also we wrote in the blog and we can to complement the oral part with the written part. Ass well was funny write the comments of the other people and know a little their life.

The spite this, I think that I have a lots of things to improve. For example, sometimes I make mistakes written sentences (specially in verbs –because I write in present and I have to write in past) and maybe in the pronunciation.

I am sure that the english is very important in the present because for any job you need a universal lenguage and in this case is the english

POST 9: Like Sapito

Since I was a child I like many sports like soccer, tennis and volleyball and I practiced some. For this reason I’m thinking of taking sports journalism.
I’m considering this alternative because you can know differents countries,  because you can travel to importants sports events like World Cup or Olympic Games.
I dream with travel someday to this events but if I do it like a journalist is coud be better because I would have a lots of benefits.
I’m not 100% sure, but I think that I will fell more confortable and pleased working in a field or court that in a little office making news for a newspaper. And also because the is very funny enjoy see a good tennis or soccer match.
Also I like the radio and sports journalism is very common there. The other positive point is that only few women works in this kind of journalism in radio.
I believe that I have all the skill necesary, because I am active and dynamics and this characteristics are fundamental for this job, so I hope to get a job in a big radio, can travel to the importants sports events and get a big salary.

POST 6: Learning to read

To be honest, I’m a not a good reader. When I was a child I didn’t read so much, but when I started to grow up I began to enjoy the lecture. In the high school, I read more and and I could know a lots of writers and also I had to read books in english. Although I was not a good reader in my first year of university everything change. I had to read minimun 4 books for each subjects so in only one year I read more than in all my life.

Since that time to now, I can say that i have read more than 100 books of differents topics.

I enjoy reading fiction because I can use my imagination and travel to parallel worlds. But in the great majority of the time I read non-fiction books, because is more useful for my career. I dind’t have a favorite books or writer, but I enjoy reading to Patricio Riveros.

Now I’m reading since 6 month a novel called Rayuela by Julio Cortazar that is about a love story. Is a very good book but I haven’t finish it yet.

On september 10th, Chile lose one of the most famous journalist, Raquel Correa.
She first studied pychology but then she stuidied journalism, starting her career in 1950. She worked in El Mercurio, Canal 13 and Radio Cooperativa. She worked during the dictatorship including dissenting voices into her writing. For example, in 1988, she interviewed to Ricardo Lagos, that was a opositor to the Pinochet’s goverment.
For this reason she was the winner in 1991 of National Journalism Prize Courtesy of Wikimedia Commons. Also, she was a awesome interviwer! And she could interview Teresa of Calcutta, Augosto Pinochet, Sebastián Piñera, etc.

One of the most controversial interview was the Sebastián Piñera’s interview, after “Piñergate”. This was a controversial scandal because in that time, 1992, the medios discovered a phone recording between the presidential candidate (Sebastián Piñera) and his friend, Pedro Díaz. They were planning something to the other presidential candidate, Matthei, take away her candidature.

When Raquel Correa died, the Chile’s President, Sebastián Piñera said:  “I want to thank Raquel Correa because she always was a great defender of freedom of expression, of pluralism, even in times when they were not easy to defend”

POST 4: Tikitikiti

I love the Independence day holidays, because you can do things that usually you don't do it. For example you can dance cueca, eat empanadas and drink chicha.
In that time, I usually travel to my city so I can share with my family and friends. It is a great time to spend with your family and aparently everybody thinks so. The road is full and the trip becomes slow. Also, the supermarket usually sell everything and the people buy more than they need. Inclusive, some people get fat in the holidays because they eat so much during that days.
The good, is that you remember the tradition, for example drink "chicha in cacho", that is a chilean drink that is serve in a corn, and play with kites. Also all the people go to the fondas, that is a place where you can eat, drink and dance. The rhythm more common is the cueca, typical chilean dance.
My last Indepencence day holidays I went to vallenar, place where my grandparents live. My mom also was there, she travelled from Iquique. I really enjoyed because I don't see them in a lot of time. We ate meat, we danced and spent a good time.

POST 3: With the Pachamama

My last summer holidays I travelled, and Bolivia was my destiny.
I did'nt had much money so I decided find a place, near to my city, Iquique. And Bolivia is located to 10 hours aprox of Iquique. I went with a closed friend of my city called Jocelyn, she was my classmate in all my years in the schoool and now is a good friend.

We started our travel on La Paz, and then we went to Copacabana, that is an island located in the Titicaca lake. This island is very beautifull and the people is friendly and nice. A lots of turist walk in the streets and they make you feel in home.

Later, we went to Sun Island and Moon Island, those islands were mystic and all the thing that I lived there were great! I felt conected with the nature, with the lake and with my origins. This was a awesome experience because I could know a different culture and I shared with people from a lots of countries.

I advise you visit Bolivia because is cheap, near and you can learn about a culture that is so diferent to us.

POST 1: My last term

I can define my last term in one word: calm.

In that time, I could learn a lot of things and I was lucky because my subjects was not so difficult. My teachers was good and my timetable was relax, giving me time to rest and did diferents thing in the semester. I started to work in the radio of my institute, and it was a great experience! Also I started with salsa’s class that made me felt so happy and active.

In many aspects my term was good: I got goods calification, I improved my english and I met a lots of people. But I missed a thing: The fight of the students to get a better education. During the last term, we didn’t anything about that and I really missed all the activities that we did in the past year.

If I had a good semester I think that my responsability as a student was not complete, because my future is not to make only in the classrooms.
