I love the Independence day holidays, because you
can do things that usually you don't do it. For example you can dance cueca,
eat empanadas and drink chicha.
In that time, I usually travel to my city so I can
share with my family and friends. It is a great time to spend with your family
and aparently everybody thinks so. The road is full and the trip becomes slow.
Also, the supermarket usually sell everything and the people buy more than they
need. Inclusive, some people get fat in the holidays because they eat so much
during that days.
The good, is that you remember the tradition, for
example drink "chicha in cacho", that is a chilean drink that is
serve in a corn, and play with kites. Also all the people go to the fondas,
that is a place where you can eat, drink and dance. The rhythm more common is
the cueca, typical chilean dance.
My last Indepencence day holidays I went to
vallenar, place where my grandparents live. My mom also was there, she
travelled from Iquique. I really enjoyed because I don't see them in a lot of
time. We ate meat, we danced and spent a good time.
I think is great that you can visit your family in this days, is aweosome!!
